Just a quick note to wish you and your family a Happy Easter.
The emergency of Covid 19 has changed the way we currently live. Many of our colleagues are cocooned for health reasons, all of us are restricted in our activities and normal living has been temporarily altered. But we are flattening the curve, these measures are having a positive impact and tomorrow there will be an update which will confirm progress. These measures will continue for another period of time and some may be strengthened but the light at the end is starting to appear.
SDCP has been supporting the national effort; staff managing the help line have received over 250 calls from the public; staff do outgoing calls to vulnerable persons have made over 500 contacts; staff at the testing station in Tallaght are vital to that operation; and we have staff delivering prescriptions to those who cannot travel; staff at home minding loved ones, minding themselves and helping to prevent the spread of this scourge.
Catherine Mooney is offering support to staff who may wish to participate in a group session or just wish to have a one to one chat. Details here available from catherine.mooney@sdcpartnership.ie
Please keep up the effort. The Directors of SDCP have requested that I convey their thanks and admiration for the work you doing and the range of supports you are providing to the community across south Dunlin County.
Kind regards and keep safe
