Inspiring the Future – Social Innovation Hackathon
Collaborate – Innovate – Change
What is a Social Hackathon?
A hackathon is an event where individuals from multiple sectors work together on short-term projects. These events are intended to be intense, engaging and collaborative. The aim is to inspire, enthuse and ignite an innovative style of thinking, and help to create concepts which could be turned into new ventures or processes.
Hackathons are a fantastic crowdsourcing tool for innovative ideas and solutions.
COVID -19 has created unprecedented challenges across many sectors and has drastically decreased the ability of services to engage with and support communities, particularly in disadvantaged areas where the digital divide is prevalent. The aim of this hackathon is to explore pioneering new ways to deliver social inclusion projects such as South Dublin County Partnership’s Inspiring the Future project, under the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your participation in this hackathon will be instrumental in the development of a robust & innovative response to the restrictions imposed by COVID-19. Winning ideas will be brought forward and applied to the Inspiring the Future project & all ideas will be shared throughout SDCP to inspire innovation across the organization.
