About the Clondalkin Health Project

Clondalkin Health Project is a community health project based in Rowlagh Community Centre.

We deliver programmes based on the needs of the community. When we look at community, we find three attributes that play a large role in wellbeing:  connectedness, liveability, and equity.

We aim, through delivery of our services, to help the community to strengthen these three attributes of wellbeing in their lives.

We run information workshops, fitness groups and social events. In turn we create networks within the community to share information and link people with appropriate services.

Services we provide:

  • Chair Yoga
  • Dance Fitness
  • Learn to Dance
  • Men’s Yoga
  • Rowlagh Social Club
  • Support group for parents of children with additional needs
  • We Can Quit
  • Women’s Yoga

Who is this project for?

Anyone from the Clondalkin area who is looking to:

  • connect more socially
  • learn a new skill
  • destress and relax
  • improve their overall heath and wellbeing

What are the results?

Better health outcomes, improved health awareness, increased social connection. The targeted approach maintains excellent participation and fulfils the main aim of the project which is to create awareness of good health and wellbeing, and to deliver programmes that meet the identified needs of local people.
