The community development team works to create opportunities for members of economic and social disadvantaged communities, marginalised groups, and people with ability challenges. For example, local community groups, migrants, asylum seekers, traveller and Roma, young parents, people with disabilities, older people, communities displaced by war, and people that may have been homeless or suffering from addiction.
Our team work with groups to support them to identify needs and issues that affect their lives. Our primary work is to build the capacity and support the groups to participate in social, environmental, cultural, and political actions so groups can develop collective strategies and actions to address the needs and issues they have identified.
