An invitation to tender for the Evaluation of South Dublin County Partnership – Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2018 to 2023

South Dublin County Partnership (SDC Partnership) is a not-for-profit organisation working to tackle poverty and social exclusion in South Dublin County. Following a public procurement process SDC Partnership was awarded the contract to deliver the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) in South Dublin County. SICAP began on January 2018 and runs until 31 December 2023. The aim of SICAP is to reduce poverty and promote social inclusion and equality through local, regional and national engagement and collaboration.

 

SICAP targets:

  • Children and families from disadvantaged areas,
  • Lone parents,
  • New communities (including refugees and asylum seekers),
  • People living in disadvantaged communities,
  • People with disabilities,
  • Roma,
  • The unemployed (including those not on the Live Register),
  • Low income workers/householders,
  • Travellers,
  • Young unemployed people from disadvantaged areas, and
  • Young people aged 15-24 who are not in employment, education or training (NEETs).

Local Area Employment Services (LAES) – Case Worker Job Vacancy

Local Area Employment Services is a new programme funded by the Department of Social Protection that aim of which is to provide support to those most distant from the labour market. The new service is a core element of the Public Employment Service and supplements the department’s own Intreo employment service capacity. Following a competitive tendering process South Dublin County Partnership was awarded a contract to deliver LAES in LOT Area 15 – South Dublin County with outreach services delivered in East Wicklow/West Kildare.

 

South Dublin County Partnership wishes to recruit 2 case workers to support the roll out of LAES, as referrals increase in the months ahead, we plan to expand the service delivery team and we may build a panel from this recruitment campaign from which future LAES Case Worker job vacancies will be filled.

 

Job Purpose:  To enable SDCP to meet contractual targets and KPIs with the funder as aligned with contractual payment schedules, the Case Worker will have responsibility for providing case management services to an agreed case load of Local Area Employment Services clients from the point of initial engagement and assessment through to exit from the programme. He/she will be required to match each client with a range of core and/or targeted LAES supports and work collaboratively with the Employment Advisor and Job Coach team across the service.

Job Function: To provide 1 to1 support to the long-term unemployed and those furthest from the labour market to help them in their progression from unemployment to employment, acting as the main liaison within LAES for clients referred into the service.

Full Time Drugs & Alcohol Youth Workers required to Join TDATF Detached Street Work Team

Locations: Killinarden & Jobstown

 

DCP is seeking 1 Alcohol Youth Worker to join the TDATF Detached Street Work Team in a busy and dynamic environment; to engage young people in the Killinarden and Jobstown areas of Tallaght that are effected/impacted by drug and alcohol use and related harm, in innovative, needs based, evidence informed programmes. Detached street work is a new and exciting area of work for TDATF and we are seeking individuals with a passion for supporting at risk young people and an understanding of the value of interagency work.

 

These position require individual that can work as part of a team to engage with young people on the streets, particularly those who are vulnerable and at-risk of drug and alcohol related harm. The roles include networking, one to one work, group work, mentoring, referrals, non-formal education programmes, advocacy, and goal focused work. Other duties will include reporting on the various programmes and interventions, interagency work, best practice.
